Enquanto a Brisa Sopra unfolds as an invitation to contemplation, movement, and the deep emotional layers that reggae can express.

After a year of intense creation, Brazilian reggae artist Fred Gomes releases his new EP Enquanto a Brisa Sopra on January 16, 2026.

The six-track project is the result of a 12-month collaboration with Gustavo Koshikumo, who handled production, mixing, and also performed guitars, bass, drums, and synths that give shape and depth to some of the songs.

The EP features a special highlight — “Dub Afraid”, a remix by Victor Rice of Fred’s track “Don’t Be Afraid.” Mastering was done by Buguinha Dub, and the recordings also feature the rhythmic power of ChinDub and Carolina Bighetti on percussion.

In addition to vocals, Fred played several instruments throughout the record, revealing his versatile and intuitive side. The result is a collection that explores his melodic essence through rich dialogues with Koshikumo’s detailed arrangements, bringing a fresh and distinctive identity to his sound.
