Teresina Rubadub: Turn it up and get ready!

King Moses is from Teresina, in the state of Piauí, Brazil. During a period spent in London, he fully immersed himself in reggae culture and sound system traditions, building an authentic connection with the rubadub style.

Upon returning to Brazil, carrying compositions refined throughout that experience, Moses approached InBraDub in 2019 with a clear mission: to bring his music to life and release it. For this, Fábrica de Riddim — the collective responsible for the label’s reggae instrumentals — stepped in.

With the lineup formed by ChinDub on drums, percussion, and melodica, Fred Gomes on guitars and piano, and Gah PG on bass, Fábrica de Riddim delivered heavy riddims, perfectly crafted to support King Moses’ distinctive flow — which flows naturally over the tracks, shaping a dense and powerful body of work.

The EP was recorded with live drums, guitar, and bass at Blue Crawfish Records, with guitar and piano overdubs done at FG Music, both in São Carlos, and percussion overdubs at Trina Estúdio in Araraquara.

Featuring lyrics in English, the tracks reflect experiences and influences that connect different territories — from the energy of sound systems to the memory of Teresina, Piauí. The songs celebrate the pleasure of listening to good rubadub and translate, through sound and message, the identity of an artist moving between cultures.
